General Introduction of
our 2-way Energy Monitoring and Control System
The difference between our uni-directional (1-way)
energy monitoring system and our bi-directional (2-way) monitoring
and control system is that a 1-way system transmits signals only from the transmitter to the monitor while a 2-way system allows for transmission both ways.
Therefore, the wireless 2-way system allows the homeowners to
conveniently and effectively control their energy management
usage.
Our 2-way system is also called
wireless home electrical appliances (lightings) control system. We have
sensor plug sockets available for US, UK, EU, Italy and AU
standard. The sensor sockets are the terminals to monitor and
control the appliances, while the RF switches are the terminals
usually to monitor and control the lightings in the system.
Our bi-directional (2-way)
energy monitoring and control system has more functions than our
uni-directional (1-way) energy monitors.
The 2-way system can monitor at the same time up to 14pcs sensor plug sockets (or RF switches for lights) and one 1-way transmitter (allowing
up to 3pcs sensor clamps to support 3-phase). Moreover, the
2-way system can also be used as a wireless remote controller for every appliance connected with the sensor socket
(or lightings connected with the RF switch) to turn it on/off just from the controller.
Our 2-way system has GSM version,
by which the user can monitor and control his home
appliances (lightings) via mobile phone by SMS even when he is in another city far away
from his home. Monitoring plus control, this is the best way of energy efficiency.
Our 2-way system can also be used for monitoring the
electricity output of home solar plant and for monitoring the
balance between the solar output and home energy consumption. At the same time,
the user can use the controller to remotely or automatically switch
on/off some
appliances according to the balance status between the home
electricity consumption and the
solar output.
Please refer to
Details of home energy controller with solar monitoring function.
If the bi-directional system is still not enough for your demand or you are looking for a more powerful system for big projects or for engineering applications, then our
centralized electricity management system should be your best choice.
How the bi-directional energy
monitoring and control system works?
The 2-way energy
monitoring and control system works through 433MHz wireless transmission technology together with the sensor plug sockets (working as the data collection terminal,
can be replaced with RF switches for lights). Each monitored appliance need one sensor plug socket to act as the transmitter.
Standard package of 2-way wireless energy
monitoring and control system
Attach the sensor plug socket first into the wall socket of power supply, then use the sensor plug sockets as the power supply for the monitored electrical appliances. All sensor plug sockets work with the controller together bi-directionally (2-way) so that the controller can receive information and send instruction from/to each sensor plug socket.
The sensor sockets are plug and play device.
The optional RF
switches are used for monitoring and control of lightings. The installation of the RF switch is not so simple as the sensor
socket. The RF switch need to be installed on the power supply
line of the targeted light or a group of targeted lights.
The system is simply consisted by a bi-directional controller and a number of sensor plug sockets
(or RF switches). The number of the sensor plug socket (RF
switch) should be decided by the quantity of the monitored electrical appliances
(lightings).
As mentioned before, one bi-directional (2-way) controller can support up to 14pc
sensor plug sockets (or RF switches) and one 1-way power transmitter. The power transmitter can be used to monitor the
main input cable of the power supply,
usually the live wire or zero wire of the meter. The power transmitter can support up to 3pcs sensor clamps, allowing monitoring of three-phase power supplies.
If the transmitter
is paired into the system, the default display of the LCD screen
will display the data of the transmitter. If no transmitter is
paired in, then the default display of the LCD screen will
display the total data of all sensor sockets and RF switches in
the system.
Each standard package includes 3pcs sensor plug sockets,
mostly supporting 14pcs sensor sockets.

The controller's LCD screen displays the power consuming status and the carbon dioxide correspondingly produced by the electricity consumed and forecast the electrical power cost of one hour, one day or one month for all monitored objects in summary or for one single selected monitored object, providing the user with a real time constant visual reminder of the electricity consumption and carbon footprint. This will increase awareness of energy saving and encourage the user to act to reduce the energy consumption and CO2 emission.
The LCD display of
the controller can be customized by our R&D
according to the customer's request.
When the monitored electrical appliance
(or lighting) is powered on, its corresponding button on the controller displays in pink color, so the controller can tell easily which
objects are powered on and which are powered off.
With the bi-directional controller in hand, the user is able to monitor and control all connected electrical appliances
and lightings in the house remotely.
Just imagine switching off the oven located in the kitchen room on the first floor while you are in the bedroom on the second floor.
All connected
electrical appliances (lightings) are under the control of one
finger.
The 2-way system
has GSM version which allows the user to monitor and
control home energy consumption via mobile phone even when he is in another
city far away from his home.

Above mentioned sensor plug socket can be replaced by
our
below
multi-socket transmitter plug adapter.
The user can also use one sensor plug socket as the power supply
for a multi-socket adapter which can be connected with several
electrical appliances.
The display screen of the bi-directional system works as below (the displayed content can be customized):
To make the date and time as well as the cost (per hour, per day and per month) to display correctly on the screen, certain settings need to be done first after the controller is powered on. You may also need to confirm with us which currencies you want to display for the cost.
The controller supports PC link with a RJ45 to USB data cable to make the user able to analyze the electricity consumption data conveniently on PC.
